Remote Assistance

Remote Assistance is a tool used by Nodus to help diagnose and solve software issues on your computer without the need of physically being at your keyboard. The connection is secure and your computer can only be remote-controlled with your permission. Please follow the instructions below to allow us to assist you.
- If you have active antivirus software currently running on your computer such as Norton Antivirus or Trend Micro, the antivirus software will have to be disabled temporarily. Specifics vary by program. Generically, right-click on your antivirus program in the taskbar in the lower-right corner of your screen (Norton Antivirus looks like a small yellow circle). This will open a small menu. Select 'Disable active protection' (or similar). If it asks you for an amount of time, select at least 15 minutes.
- Download our support software. Click the link at the bottom of this page.
- When asked by your internet browser whether to save or open the downloaded file, Click Open. This will open a new window.
- Within the new window are the contents of the .zip file you just downloaded. Double-click 'InstantSupport.exe'. If this does nothing (be patient), the .zip file may need to be extracted. If you need help with this, ask us.
- A window may pop up asking you if you want to run this file. Click Run
- Please wait while the support software opens. A window with a 6-digit support number will appear. Tell us the support number
- You're done! Once the support number is given, a connection will be established.
